On Thursday 11 December 2025 we are organising a free online information session on supplementary pensions, together with the Federal Pensions Service.
Info session: Introduction to Supplementary Pensions
The session will take place from 1.30 pm to 4 pm and is aimed specifically at professionals who regularly handle questions about pensions in their job.
Content of the session
We provide an overview of supplementary pensions in Belgium, focusing on the role of Sigedis, our database DB2P and our involvement in three successive stages: joining, accrual of entitlements, and payout.
The topics covered include:
- The role of the provider, pensions institution and member
- Information obligations on joining and during accrual of entitlements
- The Wijninckx contribution and statutory audits
- Application and payment via mypension.be
- Cooperation between Sigedis and the Federal Pensions Service
Practical information
Participants are advised to have a basic knowledge of the Belgian pension system. The session follows on from previous training courses on the pensions landscape. Registrations are only accepted from professionals working in pensions.
